This EP is a collection of various experimental pieces that seemed to fit together as a collection.

"avalanche" was made solely on a delay/reverb pedal feeding back into itself. there is no other sound source.

"cambrian" was made in collaboration with friend and musical pal Michael Scharf. for it, we recorded the sound of bacon frying in a pan, a 1960's water fountain turning on and I recited a bit of a poem which is heavily obscured by the use of a vocoder. there is also electric bass which Michael played and several layers of synthesizer (namely the Novation Ultranova)

"beastiality" was made partly in a digital audio workstation using several different software synthesizers (some of which I only had a demo of for a few days) combined with explorations of a few other synths including a Future Sound Systems Brunswick which I built from a kit and a Yamaha DX9 (a sort of baby brother to the DX7)

"integers" was made entirely with the very same DX9 and some reverb

"all at once (Japanese)" is a combination of twenty plus tracks of a woman reading a script about country music history in Japanese. I made these recordings several years ago for a work-related project. for the piece, I let all the tracks run at the same time which yielded some surprising moments.
